Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week)About the Role - Student Personal Development ManagerAre you passionate about helping students thrive and achieve their full potential? We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic Student Personal Development Manager to join a forward-thinking college serving the Cambridge and Huntingdon communities.In this pivotal role, you'll design and lead an ambitious personal development programme for students, adult learners, and apprentices. You'll oversee student voice initiatives, enrichment activities, and pastoral support services, empowering learners to succeed both academically and personally.Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a comprehensive personal development curriculum aligned with Ofsted requirements
- Create and deliver engaging tutorial resources and student induction materials
- Lead on Freshers' Fairs, cross-college events, enrichment activities, and student enterprise competitions
- Manage and develop student voice processes, including training student reps and facilitating the annual student conference
- Oversee and support pastoral care provision, including interventions and referrals
- Manage high-quality Learning Resource Centres across both campuses
- Line manage and develop a multidisciplinary team (Personal Development Coaches, LRC team, Gym Supervisor)
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (Education, Youth Work, Social Sciences, Public or Community Services, Educational Leadership, Psychology etc)
- Qualified to at least Level 2 in English and Maths
- Strong experience in personal development programme management within an educational setting
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Skilled at developing and delivering training to staff
- Passionate about motivating young people and supporting their progress
- Confident in using IT and e-learning tools
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work across both campuses in Cambridge and Huntingdon.
- Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends.
- Enhanced DBS clearance required.
