- Consultative Selling: Use your strong consultative skills to understand the unique needs and challenges of clients, as articulated in their own business terminology. You will build trust by offering insights, asking the right questions, and creating solutions that meet their objectives.
- Geospatial Market Insight: You should be fully conversant with the evolving geospatial data technology landscape, from data platforms to the use of AI-technology. You will have views on market trends and will use this knowledge to provide strategic recommendations to customers and contribute to our overall market strategy.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Be knowledgeable about geospatial data, the geospatial data community, including software tools and approach to delivering geospatial data challenges via professional services.
- Client Engagement: Establish and nurture meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor to customers at all stages of the sales process. Your focus will be on creating a partnership built on understanding and mutual benefit.
- Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within your market segment, using a consultative approach to qualify leads and build a strong sales pipeline.
- Active CRM Management: Use the CRM (Salesforce) to proactively manage opportunities through the sales pipeline with sales forecasting based on various pieces of information gathered from key individuals within multiple departments in the customer’s organisation.
- Tailored Solutions: Work closely with our product and professional services teams to ensure that the solutions we provide are customised to fit the customer’s needs using either (or a combination of) 1Spatial software, 3rd party software, or professional services. Ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to project delivery.
- Winning Proposals through Collaboration: You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure we are aligning our business development efforts with the broader goals of the organisation, always ensuring a seamless experience for customers. Whilst we expect any business development professional to be hugely competitive, you will need to be a team player with enough emotional intelligence to balance how to get the best out of the wider team to pull together and write winning propositions for your customers.
