Team Members under 21 will be paid at £1.00 per hour less, which is significantly above National Minimum Wage guidelines for this age groupA little about Nightingale:Nightingale Nursing & Care Home is based in the centre of Edwinstowe, near Mansfield. The home, although purpose-built, has been made very homely, and has a selection of garden areas, in line with Jasmine’s values and ethos. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care to 49 residents.Competencies for Team Leader:

Day to Day Responsibilities for Team Leader:
  • You will also be responsible for promoting our resident’s independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing and to give input during shift handovers.
  • Leading our team to support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our residents by providing the highest standard of care.
  • Supporting our carers to provide personal care and support with daily activities such as washing, dressing and eating.
  • Administering medication.
  • Promoting our resident’s choice, dignity and independence and all times.
Essential Requirements for Team Leader:
  • Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
  • Minimum of one years’ experience in residential / nursing home setting.
  • Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • To ensure knowledge is gained to demonstrate a good understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.
  • Live within 30 minutes of the home.
Preferred Requirements for Team Leader:
  • Two years’ experience in a similar role in a nursing home.
  • One years’ experience working in a similar role in a residential or nursing home; or
  • Two years’ experience in a Senior Care role in a residential or nursing home.
  • One year experience of caring for residents living with dementia.
  • NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care or above.
  • Experience of managing a team
