Rate: Competitive daily rate (£29,770-£31,792 per annum equivalent)
Contract: Temporary (specific dates below)We are looking for 2 Careers Advisors to help out with our Careers Advice Cafes. 1 will be based in Huntingdon and 1 in Cambridge.Contract Dates:
- Tuesday 26th August to Friday 29th August: 9am-4pm
- Monday 1st September and Tuesday 2nd September: 9am-5pm
- Monday 8th September and Tuesday 9th September: 9am-5pm
- Delivering 1:1 careers guidance sessions and developing action plans for each individual
- Supporting students with immediate career decisions and next steps
- Providing guidance on apprenticeships, university, employment and training options
- Assisting with UCAS applications and researching progression opportunities
- Recording all interactions appropriately on college systems
- Supporting students during drop-in sessions and scheduled appointments
- Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance & Development
- GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience delivering impartial careers support to young people and adults
- Strong 1:1 careers advice delivery skills
- Knowledge of post-16 & post-19 education, skills and employment pathways
- Confident IT and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
- Experience working in further education environments
- Knowledge of widening participation agendas
- Familiarity with UCAS processes and college systems
