- Provide a range of CEIAG support to current and prospective students and apprentices promoting smooth transitions to apprenticeships, further and higher learning, employment or training.
- Undertake 1:1 careers guidance meetings with students and apprentices, producing appropriate post-interview summaries of guidance and action plans, ensuring such records are stored appropriately and client confidentiality is maintained.
- Support with the design and delivery of an effective careers education programme, including developing an online Careers Hub and delivering group sessions covering a variety of topics including UCAS, CVs, job applications, interview techniques, employability skills and labour market information. Ensure materials are professionally presented and well researched.
- Ensure both individual and group careers interventions are evaluated. Quality assure own and peer work, meeting and exceeding quality requirements.
- Support with processing applications within the College UCAS Centre.
- Contribute to the design and organisation of careers events.
- Ensure that relevant, up-to-date information is available to students both in-person and online.
- Research progression opportunities and develop resource materials.
- Use the EBS, ProMonitor and other appropriate student data systems to record all enquiries and interactions with all who access the service.
- Provide advice and guidance at key Cross College events, including open evenings, careers events, enrolment sessions, exhibitions and PR events.
- Liaise with other college staff to maintain a high profile of the careers service and to ensure awareness of different courses and the careers education provision. Keep up to date with new developments within the College.
