We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.This is a full time (37) permanent position working 5 over 7 days.The Glasgow City Wide Phlebotomy Service delivers care in clinics and home settings to patients who are referred
by GPs, members of the Primary Health Care Team and those from secondary care. Providing health education and health promotion to promote and maintain independent living for patients and support carers.The Phlebotomy Service delivers care to patients within their own home and clinical environments. The post holder will participate in the care of patients under the direction of a registered nurse. Considering the lifestyle, race, gender and cultural background, and factors which impact on physical, mental or emotional health.The post holder will represent the values and beliefs of the nursing team as well as that of the organisation. The post holder will have the ability to work with people on their own and as part of a team and the ability to work without direct supervision. They must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
