We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Manager on Shoredrift Ward. Shoredrift is an acute admission ward based at Hopewood Park in Sunderland. The service is for men over the age of 18 years with a mental illness who require assessment and treatment in hospital.Main duties of the jobA Ward Manager has a crucial role encompassing clinical leadership, staff management and operational oversight. They are responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, and managing resources effectively. You will work jointly with the Specialist Nurse in offering effective leadership and day to day management of the team.As the Ward Manager you will have day to day management of the team which includes recruitment of staff, conducting appraisals, managing performance and supporting the health and well-being of employees.
