Job Category: OperationsDegree Level: No Formal EducationJob Description:About the Role:Our continued success and business growth has opened up an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and ambitious Shift Operations Manager to join our successful team at Runcorn (WA7 1NT).This role is on a permanent night shift working Sunday to Thursday; 22:00 - 06:00.How will you contribute?
  • Reporting to the Warehouse operating manager , the successful applicant will be responsible for the management of a team of Warehouse Team Managers.
  • Responsible for ensuring the site works within legislative requirements, taking account of health & safety at all times
  • Responsible for ensuring all working procedures are clearly defined and cascaded, with regular reviews to ensure effectiveness
  • Must be proactive in seeking improvements in process / methods of operating
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management, initial and ongoing development and motivation of a team of Warehouse Team Managers and their teams, ensuring that they consistently meet productivity and quality objectives
  • Responsible for the achievement of key performance Indicators and delivering a high level of on time, on cost, customer service on our next-day customer proposition
  • Responsible for ensuring excellent working relationships with the customer representatives and at all times being aware of their business needs and objectives.
What will you bring?
  • Flexibility with regards to working shifts
  • Must have proven Shift Operations Management experience in a high-volume service driven operation
  • Strong budgetary experience, planning resource to forecasted volume and leading shift to achieve productivities
  • Strong, proven project and change management with quantifiable results
  • Will have excellent team building, leadership and motivational skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate the commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility to work various days and shift patterns which are able to respond to customer demand
  • Experience of working in an automated environment would be advantageous but not essential.
