Due to our continuing success and as we continue to expand as a company and within our Building Surveying team in Manchester; we are now on the lookout for a passionate and driven individual who is looking for their next opportunity as a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team.As a Chartered Building Surveyor your role will include:
  • Lead & develop detailed briefs in conjunction with the Client and senior colleagues
  • Establish & maintain client relationships
  • Support business development activities by senior colleagues
  • Carry out site surveys (including measured surveys, condition surveys & defect analysis)
  • Produce designs and specifications including preparation of tender documentation
  • Administering building contracts (JCT and NEC)
  • Undertake all aspects of professional surveying work (including condition surveys, specific defect analysis, party wall consultancy, dilapidations, insurance inspections and claims advice. Plus, Reinstatement Cost Assessment valuations)
  • Liaise with clients, contractors & other consultants (internal and external)
  • Assist the team leader with project finances, recruitment, mentoring and team leadership
Experience and Skills Required
  • Relevant degree qualified - RICS approved.
  • MRICS Chartered.
  • Have experience of advising on commercial, healthcare or educational properties either in the public or private sector.
  • Good AutoCAD and/or REVIT skills.
  • Competent with NBS Chorus.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
The role will require you to be the key point of contact with our prestigious clients, therefore a high level of communication skills and commercial awareness are essential for being successful in this role.You will be of an analytical mind with a high level of intellect - combining excellent written and oral skills to produce considered and robust reports and recommendations.
