- Provide 1:1 and group support for pupils with complex needs, including PMLD, ASC, MSI, and sensory impairments.
- Assist in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
- Support behaviour management strategies and encourage positive interactions.
- Provide personal care and mobility support as needed.
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with parents and professionals.
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Enhanced DBS check (child and adult) - must be current or willing to apply for one.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in UK schools.
- Experience supporting children with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma - essential.
- HLTA qualification or willingness to work towards it - preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Familiarity with non-verbal communication strategies and assistive technologies.
- Experience in moving and handling students with physical needs across varied settings (e.g. classroom, pool, gym, residential units).
