Job Title: HLTA – SEN Provision (L17 Area) Location: Liverpool, L17 Salary: £100–£120 per day (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Start Date: ImmediateAbout the Role: Milk Education is recruiting a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist provision in Liverpool (L17), supporting vulnerable young people aged 10–18 with a range of additional needs. This includes children in care, those with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and complex trauma backgrounds.This is a unique opportunity to take on a hybrid role that blends support, teaching, and classroom leadership. You’ll be responsible for managing very small classes (typically 4–6 pupils), delivering planned lessons when required, and maintaining a safe, structured learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead small-group sessions and occasionally deliver whole-class teaching in the absence of the teacherSupport pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social developmentContribute to planning and assessment alongside teaching staffMaintain consistent routines and boundaries to support pupils with high levels of needBuild strong, trusting relationships with students, many of whom have experienced significant adversitySupport EHCP targets and liaise with external professionals when neededWhat We’re Looking For:HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a teaching capacityProven experience working with SEN and/or children in careStrong classroom management skills and the ability to lead learning confidentlyResilience, empathy, and a trauma-informed approachEnhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)Benefits to YOU:
