Our client, a forward-thinking and inclusive school in the heart of Enfield Town, is seeking a Full-time Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join their dynamic team.As a Learning Support Assistant (SEN), you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, providing individualised support to students with diverse learning needs. Your role will be instrumental in helping these students overcome challenges, develop their skills, and achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning plans for students with SEN
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to ensure students' academic, social, and emotional progress
  • Adapting learning materials and resources to meet the specific needs of each student
  • Monitoring and documenting students' progress, and communicating regularly with parents and caregivers
  • Fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that celebrates diversity
  • A genuine commitment to supporting students with special educational needs
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in working with children with SEN (e.g. , Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities
