An opportunity has arisen for experienced cardio-thoracic radiographers to join our expanding team. Based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus the department this rotational post will have the opportunity to work across the various services offered.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will rotate through a minimum of two specialist modalities (plus X-ray), including CT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. Experience in CT, stress testing examinations and interventional procedures would be an advantage.You must be able to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team and taking part in the shift and on-call roster is an essential part of this role.If you are a dynamic, enthusiastic radiographer who wants to gain experience in cardiothoracic imaging from a team of experienced radiographic experts then come and join our highly motivated, friendly team.About usRoyal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the UK's leading heart and lung hospital, delivering care to more than 50,000 patients a year in its new state-of-the-art hospital in Cambridge.   • BSc in Radiography (or equivalent) plus short specialist courses and/or experience to post-graduate diploma level or equivalent
  • Current state registration with Health and Care Professions Council
ExperienceEssential
  • Good theoretical and practical knowledge of a broad range of standard imaging techniques
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and Ionising Radiation Regulations
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • A team player able to work well with others and demonstrate commitment to team and service objectives.
Desirable
  • Previous experience in specialist modalities (Angiography, CT, MRI) and/or Cardiothoracic imaging
  • Previous Radiology experience in an NHS organisation
  • IV cannulation skills
