Contract: Full-time, Term-time OnlyWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Liverpool supporting children with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support for students with these specific needs, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive and inclusive environment..Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering a differentiated curriculum to students with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), acting as a Teaching Assistant in one-on-one and small group support.
- Provide support with behaviour management, using de-escalation techniques and reinforcing positive behaviour strategies to help children manage their emotions and reactions.
- As a Teaching Assistant, help create a calm, structured classroom environment that encourages learning and supports students with additional needs.
- Support children with LD and EBD in developing social and communication skills, promoting inclusion and positive peer relationships.
- Assist in monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher on how interventions are impacting student learning and behaviour as a Teaching Assistant.
