This vacancy is open to internal staff onlyAbout usOpen only to existing employees or agency placements within Warrington Borough Council Waste services.An opportunity has arisen within the Council's waste team for the recruitment of a Waste operations officer based at Woolston Depot for a fixed term period.The roleTo be responsible for the deployment of front-line operational personnel and fleet, and ensure completion of workloads within Waste services on a daily basis.To be responsible for the daily management of all frontline activities including health and safety as set out in the waste service Health and Safety processes and proceduresTo help ensure that waste services are delivered in accordance with the requirements of the Council's Household Waste & Recycling Collection procedures and that householders comply with the Council's Policies and Procedures.What's needed?Managing a front line workforce you should possess excellent people management skills as you will be responsible for the delivery of a high profile service.You will be joining a talented, highly motivated team who are already delivering excellent results.We are committed to delivering a high quality service to our residents and are looking for flexible and enthusiastic team members to work with us to achieve our aims.A full UK HGV C driving licence is required.Operational hours of work are for 37 hours per week over a 4 day working week Tuesday to Friday 6.30am to 4.15pmBenefitsAs well as a competitive salary, working for us means you get:
