- Optimising underwriting strategies and pricing strategies for new or existing customers.
- Managing pricing and commercials and making strategic recommendations to the product leads.
- Developing new and refining existing NPV models and model assumptions.
- Supporting development of new scorecards to make decisions, as well as using new scorecards to develop underwriting strategies, performing analysis on swap sets and understanding the risks and benefits.
- Grounding P&L risk and revenue assumptions to inform lending decisions and marketing strategy in acquisition or customer management.
- Building and running data infrastructure and monitoring frameworks to identify key trends in the performance of lending portfolios. Ensuring these are well understood, shared with senior management and considered actions to take if necessary.
- Leading and developing your team, through guidance, coaching and mentorship. Identifying areas for improvement and supporting on managing their development plan.
- Strong experience in Commercial and Credit Risk analytics or modelling in a consumer lending environment.
- Good technical skills, strong SQL knowledge and/or Python capability.
- You have an inquisitive mind, are intrinsically curious and are passionate about deriving insights from data.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and know how to work well within cross-functional teams.
- You effectively manage key stakeholder in setting the credit/commercial agenda for lending products gaining buy in from senior stakeholders.
- You're super analytical, have excellent attention to detail, work well under pressure and have strong time management skills.
- You break complex unstructured problems into simple efficient hypotheses, focusing on core areas and levers through robust structured thinking.
- You know how to lead a team, and enjoy developing and nurturing talented junior analysts.
