- 1:1 and Small Group Support: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both individually and in small groups, as directed by the class teacher.
- Learning and Development: Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), adapting materials and activities to meet specific learning goals.
- Pastoral Care: Offer emotional and social support to students, promoting their well-being and building their self-confidence.
- Classroom Collaboration: Work closely with the class Teacher and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Behavioral Support: Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors, using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Progress Monitoring: Contribute to the assessment and recording of student progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents as needed.
- A genuine passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs.
- Previous experience in a similar role or with individuals with SEN is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
