It is a senior position within the operational delivery team, ideal for a professional who is passionate about construction and committed to operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Manage the delivery of multiple contracts, ensuring financial, quality, safety, and environmental targets are metLiaise with estimators during pre-contract planning stagesLead and delegate to site-based engineering and delivery teamsMaintain a strong understanding of standard forms of contract and construction legislationApprove and issue contracts and subcontractsEnsure compliance with company Health & Safety and IMS proceduresOversee contract programming, resource planning, and delivery schedulesBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractorsSupport the production of quality bids, PQQs, and client presentationsAdvise on technical, legal, and contractual mattersProvide accurate data for monthly contract appraisals and reportsMonitor and control contract budgets and financial performanceManage claims, variations, and risk assessmentsCompile applications for payment and agree final accountsMentor and coach staff and operatives across multiple project teamsParticipate in recruitment, performance management, and staff developmentAssist with marketing, including project photography and press releasesSupport initiatives to raise the company’s profile in the sectorRequirements:Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or similar role within civil engineering or constructionStrong commercial, technical, and contractual knowledgeExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with current contract forms (e.g., NEC, JCT) and construction lawFull UK driving licenceBenefits:Competitive salaryMatched pension contributionsPrivate healthcare coverLife assurance26 days annual leave plus bank holidaysReferral bonus schemeEye care vouchersContributions toward evening classes or hobbiesCycle-to-work schemeOngoing professional training and career developmentIf you’re interested in this opportunity, please submit your CV today or contact us for more information.
