SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Full-Time (Term-Time Only)
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? They are a welcoming and inclusive school looking for an enthusiastic and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. You’ll support pupils with a range of needs including autism and speech & language difficulties. You will become an integral part of this supportive and enthusiastic school and become imperative to helping support the children in your care.About the schoolThis school in the centre of Croydon has the vision of helping children learn through partnership and collaboration, as well as placing great value on their children showing kindness and respect.Requirements:
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN in the classroom and one-to-one
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Supporting learning under the direction of the class teacher or SENCO
  • Assisting with personal care (if applicable)
  • Promoting inclusion and equal opportunities
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress
  • Managing behaviour sensitively and effectively
Desirable:
  • SEN TA qualification or relevant training (e.g., Makaton, PECS)
Contract: Fixed term, full-time (8:30am – 3:30pm, Mon-Fri, term time only)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
