Job Description:Finance Controller - ServiceSkelmersdale*This is an Internal opportunity only*You have a responsibility to inform your current line/department manager and local human resources representative before applying for the role.POSITION SUMMARY:You will lead the finance function for the AD24 Service division, delivering high-quality financial insight that informs strategic decisions, drives operational excellence, and supports commercial success across the AD24 business. This role is a critical partner to the Executive Director of Quality, Reliability, and Service, providing financial leadership to the wider leadership team.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Financial Leadership & Reporting
  • Prepare monthly management accounts in line with group reporting timelines and policies
  • Support the Group Finance team with inputs for quarterly NFI Group financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with NFI Group accounting policies and ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting) standards
Business Partnering & Commercial Insight
  • Act as the lead finance partner to the QRS Executive Director, providing strategic financial advice
  • Deliver insightful analysis and commentary on divisional performance, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Present KPIs and business metrics (e.g. warranty spend, VOR performance) to support operational decisions
Forecasting & Planning
  • Lead the monthly rolling forecast and annual operating plan (AOP) for the AD24 Service division
  • Provide clear variance analysis and bridges to prior forecasts and budgets
  • Review and challenge assumptions to ensure robust, data-driven planning
  • Support forecasting for Payroll, Overheads, and Fixed Assets
Controls, Compliance & Audit
  • Maintain and enhance financial control processes in line with group standards
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key financial provisions (e.g. warranty, VOR penalties)
  • Manage intercompany parts transfers and transfer pricing with non-UK subsidiaries
  • Support internal and external audits as required
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:· Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within an aftermarket, manufacturing, or engineering environment.· Strong commercial acumen with a solid grasp of margin management, inventory optimisation, and product profitability.· A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive better business outcomes.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with financial consolidation tools (e.g. Hyperion) and ERP systems (e.g. Syspro) is advantageous.· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders.· Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging at all levels of the organisation.· Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.OUR WHY:We move people.
