Lead the Client Accounting function into my clients next growth period.I'm partnering exclusively with a long-established property consultancy operating across London and the Home Counties to appoint a Head of Accounts.This respected SME has built its reputation on deep client relationships and hands-on partner involvement. With a strong client base and a commitment to quality, collaboration, and responsiveness, the firm continues to be a standout in the market.The Head of Client Accounts will play a central role in shaping the financial operations of the business, driving operational excellence, and supporting strategic growth.This is a key leadership position within the Property Management team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the client reporting function.The successful candidate will lead the implementation of a new finance system, enhance financial processes and controls, and work closely with Partners and department heads to ensure the finance function remains robust, scalable, and client-focused.Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and developing the Accounts function across client and company accounts
  • Overseeing the rollout of a new finance system, including planning, training, and change management
  • Reviewing and improving accounting processes and SOPs
  • Supporting new business pitches and client onboarding
  • Acting as the main contact for auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies
  • Driving improvements in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Ensuring compliance with RICS and industry regulations
  • Reporting to senior leadership on performance and financial insights
  • Mentoring and developing the finance team
We are looking for someone with:
  • Proven experience implementing or migrating finance systems (e.g. Qube, MRI, Yardi)
  • A background in property, real estate, or professional services
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience supporting business development
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Confidence working across multiple stakeholders and balancing strategic and operational priorities
