- Deliver procurement operations and activity (tenders, mini-competitions via frameworks).
- Support delivery of savings and efficiencies and maintain the Council’s Contract Register.
- Advise on procurement strategies, frameworks, and contract documentation.
- Ensure compliance with national procurement regulations, Council policies, and governance.
- Support and monitor contract management, social value delivery, and transparency.
- Provide training and guidance to colleagues, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Engage with SMEs and local suppliers to maximise community value
- Proven experience in procurement operations within the public sector or large organisations.
- Strong knowledge of procurement legislation, frameworks, and best practice.
- Ability to advise on procurement strategy and deliver innovative procurement solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
