- A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
- A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with students, teachers, and parents.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: A readiness to respond to changing circumstances and unexpected disruptions in the classroom.
- Behaviour Management: The capacity to manage groups and deal with challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner.
- Teamwork: The ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other staff to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Initiative: A proactive attitude to anticipate needs and enhance the learning experience.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with varying needs, including those with SEN.
- Assist the class teacher in the preparation and delivery of lesson materials and classroom activities.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Supervise students during non-classroom times, such as breaks, lunch, and on school trips.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and the SENCO.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Prepare and maintain general and specialist equipment and resources for lessons.
- Assist with the administration of coursework, routine tests, and exams.
- Liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers as directed by the teacher.
- Contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the school community.
