- Support the Class Teacher: Assist with preparing classroom materials, setting up activities, and helping to manage classroom behaviour.
- Provide Student Support: Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning, provide extra help, and ensure every child understands the lesson.
- Encourage a Positive Environment: Foster a fun, safe, and inclusive atmosphere where children feel motivated and confident to learn.
- Monitor and Track Progress: Observe students, take notes on their development, and provide feedback to the teacher to help tailor future lessons.
- Supervise During Breaks: Assist with playground and lunch duty, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
- A genuine love for working with primary-aged children.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
- Previous experience in a school or childcare setting is a plus, but not essential.
