- Individualized Instruction: Design and deliver tailored lessons based on Individual Education Plans (IEPs), adapting curriculum to meet the specific learning styles and needs of students with SEN.
- Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments to track student progress, analyze data, and use it to inform future teaching strategies and set new goals.
- IEP Development and Management: Lead the creation, implementation, and review of IEPs in collaboration with parents, therapists, and other staff members.
- Collaborative Planning: Work closely with mainstream teachers to ensure the successful inclusion of students with SEN in all aspects of school life.
- Behavior and Social Support: Implement effective strategies to manage challenging behaviors and promote the social-emotional development of students.
- Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with parents, guardians, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive support network for each student.
- A genuine passion for special education and a commitment to helping every student succeed.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant experience in a SEN teaching role.
- Strong knowledge of various learning disabilities, developmental delays, and behavioral challenges.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload of students.
