Working at Bank of America Chester offers a far-reaching global career for a world-renowned organisation, whilst being ideally situated against the backdrop of the rolling North Wales hills and the banks of the serene River Dee.Role Description:This job is responsible for supporting business analysis for a Line of Business (LOB) by producing all financial reporting and disclosures in partnership with senior management, front office, and other business stakeholders. Key responsibilities include applying knowledge of product(s), processes, and inherent risks for aproduct, business or function to analyze and substantiate Profit and Loss (P&L) attributes and balance sheets, assist in production of regulatory matters analysis, and perform critical testing and calculations.Why Join Global Markets Finance in Chester?

Responsibilities:
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the financial products, market risk profile and risk mitigation techniques and strategies
  • Be responsible for producing and reviewing daily/monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, including month end close process
  • Partner with colleagues across the bank to investigate and resolve accounting issues
  • Validate our reporting to external regulators
  • Provide financial insight and partner with Trading colleagues to optimise business performance
  • Engage in ad-hoc project work to drive efficiency and enhancement to our routines

Skills that will help:
  • Educated to degree level
  • Qualified/part qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)

It is not necessary for new recruits to have worked in financial services previously as industry specific knowledge can be learned on the job.
