Head of Corporate – Cardiff – Full-Time – From £100,000 + BonusRhino Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head of Corporate to lead a new legal department in Cardiff.This senior-level legal opportunity offers full autonomy to establish and grow a Corporate Law division within a dynamic and expanding firm. The position includes profit and loss accountability, strategic planning, and the chance to shape the department's future.Key Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a stand-alone Corporate Department with full P&L responsibility
  • Set departmental strategy, structure, and financial targets
  • Manage complex corporate caseloads including M&A, restructuring, joint ventures, and shareholder agreements
  • Drive business development across local and national markets
  • Contribute to board-level planning and cross-referral initiatives
  • Mentor junior lawyers and promote a high-performing team culture
  • Represent the firm at industry events, panels, and networking opportunities
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 8+ years PQE in corporate law
  • Proven leadership experience in managing or building a corporate legal team
  • Strong commercial insight and strategic thinking
  • Demonstrated success in client acquisition and departmental growth
  • Solid expertise in high-value corporate transactions
  • An established client following is highly advantageous
Location & Working Style
  • Cardiff, CF10 1EP – centrally located with private office and dedicated parking
  • Hybrid working available, with an expectation of strong office presence
  • Occasional travel to other regional offices as required
