Based in Dinnington, Sheffield, this business is known for delivering high quality products while maintaining excellent safety and operational standards.We are recruiting for a reliable and skilled individual to join their pre-assembly team on a temporary to permanent basis.The Role: Yard Operative / CNC Machine OperativeYou will be an important part of the pre-assembly department, operating a CNC Biesse 5 axis machine to cut timber components to precise specifications. When the machine is not in use, you will support general yard operations, ensuring the site remains safe, clean and well organised.This role suits someone with CNC experience who enjoys variety and works well as part of a team.Key Responsibilities
- Operate the CNC Biesse 5 axis machine for timber cutting, ensuring accuracy and safety
- Support the pre-assembly process to meet production schedules and maintain high standards
- Carry out general yard duties including keeping work areas clean and organised
- Assist with loading, unloading and organising materials
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery (5 axis preferred) or strong background in timber cutting or joinery
- Comfortable with physical work in a yard environment
- Punctual, reliable and adaptable to changing priorities
- Safety conscious with a commitment to tidy working practices
- Strong communicator and team player
