Pay: £12.49 per hour, rising to £12.99 after 4 weeks’ training and £13.49 after 6 months’ probation
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm
Contract: Temporary to permanent (12 weeks)We are currently seeking an experienced machine operative to join a small, friendly manufacturing business in Barnsley. Due to continued expansion, this company is offering an exciting opportunity to join a growing and supportive team.This machine operative role is ideal for someone with a background in manual machine operation and a strong work ethic. With clear progression in pay and the potential for a permanent contract, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a highly established business.Benefits:

- Manufacturing product in a fast-paced production environment
- Machine setting and operating (automated/manual saws, CNC and manual routers)
- Feeding, assembling, polishing, crimping, welding, etching, grinding
- Producing final products to a high standard
- Maintaining general housekeeping and performing various duties as needed
- Minimum 2 years of manual machine operating experience
- Numerate and literate
- Physically fit with experience in manual roles
- Ability to work under own initiative and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and quality
- Team player with a hardworking and dedicated attitude
