Title: Senior Solar Project Development ManagerLocation: United KingdomSalary: 65k - 80k (flexible)Type: PermanentWe are collaborating with a prominent global player in renewable energy, boasting a rich history of crafting sustainable energy solutions for over a century.Currently, we are in search of a seasoned and driven Senior/Project Manager (title contingent on experience) to sueprcharge our UK solar team.Key Responsibilities: * Overseeing all facets of the UK solar pipeline, from site identification to pre-construction endeavors.
  • Managing project finances and schedules, and orchestrating collaboration with external service providers such as EIA and planning consultants, land agents, legal advisors, and technical specialists.
  • Spearheading the appeals process, including overseeing a Public Inquiry, and ensuring adherence to pre-commencement planning conditions and post-consent planning modifications.
  • Identifying new solar ventures, negotiating agreements with landowners and representatives, and delivering regular project updates coupled with insightful risk and opportunity analyses to management.
  • Collaborating with financial and technical counterparts to devise optimal strategies for each project, while meticulously evaluating project risks.
Key Requirements: * A Master's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a pertinent field like renewables, engineering, planning, or environmental and sustainability studies.
  • Proven experience in the renewable energy sector with a demonstrable track record of meeting objectives.
  • Profound understanding of the UK renewable energy landscape, coupled with exceptional written, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language proficiency is advantageous.
  • Ability to adeptly manage multiple projects and relationships concurrently, encompassing landowners, authorities, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively within the UK and mentor team members either individually or within sub-teams.
