Title: Project Development Manager - Solar PV - London (Hybrid)Location: London (Hybrid)Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)An exciting new opportunity has emerged with a renowned international Renewable Energy Developer for a Solar Project Development Manager to join their expanding UK team.You will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of utility-scale solar project development, with potential involvement in storage and Green Hydrogen initiatives.Key responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, site scouting, land agreements, site selection, environmental evaluations, permitting, and financial closure for solar projects. Collaboration with colleagues across Europe and globally will be integral to your role. This position offers a unique chance to join a leading player in the renewable energy industry in a strategically significant capacity.Your Responsibilities:As the Project Development Manager, you will:
  • Pursue solar project opportunities and oversee their development
  • Coordinate planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) * Secure option and lease agreements, Development Agreements, and Share Purchase Agreements
  • Manage project delivery, leading internal teams in design, technical analysis, financial modeling, legal due diligence, and grid connection
  • Maintain relationships with project stakeholders, including developers, service operators, local authorities, and suppliers
Your Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5+ years of project development management experience in renewable energy
  • Proven track record in UK renewable energy project development
  • Previous involvement in land securing, permitting, and connection processes within the UK
  • Ability to manage project schedules and budgets effectively
  • Experience working in a multinational corporate environment
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, legal, business, planning, or environmental studies)
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills
  • Excellent team collaboration and management abilities
