We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Physiotherapist, to join our neurology rotation covering areas at the Royal Derby Hospital, and Florence Nightingale Community Hospital, on an 8 month Secondment/ Fixed-term contract.For this post, you will need to have experience in working within a Neurological Service, as well as broad-based rotational experience, including respiratory. You must also have some experience in supporting students as a Clinical Educator.The 9 monthly rotation offers experience in the following areas:Acute Stroke Unit, Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, Neurology Rehabilitation In-reach Team, Neurology Out-Patient Therapy, Spasticity/ Neuro-splints, and Kings Lodge Neurology Rehabilitation Unit.We are looking for a Physiotherapist with a passion for working in Neurology.Practical element will be added to the interview so applicant must attend in person.Main duties of the job
  • To work in support of, and deputise for the band 7 Physiotherapist
  • To provide a high standard Neurological Physiotherapy service on the nine monthly rotation - this involves working across the Acute Trust in a range of ward, outpatient and rehabilitation settings. These rotations include the Acute Stroke Unit, Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, Neurology rehabilitation in-reach team, Neurology Outpatients, spasticity/ neuro-splinting, and Kings Lodge Rehabilitation Unit.
  • To supervise Band 5 Physiotherapists, and support staff and students working within the speciality.
