This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to helping every student thrive and reach their full potential.The Role: What You'll Be DoingAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll be a key part of our school community, providing crucial support to students and ensuring they have a positive and productive learning experience. Your daily duties will include:
  • Tailored Support: Providing one-to-one or small group support to help students grasp concepts, finish tasks, and manage their learning.
  • Classroom Collaboration: Working closely with the class teacher to deliver lessons, prepare materials, and help create an inclusive and engaging classroom.
  • Emotional & Social Development: Acting as a trusted guide for students, helping them develop essential social and emotional skills.
  • Progress Tracking: Providing valuable feedback to the teacher on student progress and challenges to help inform and adjust support strategies.
The Ideal Candidate: Who We're Looking ForWe are seeking a compassionate and resilient individual with a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have:
  • The right to work in the UK and a valid Child DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one).
  • Empathy: The ability to connect with students and remain calm and encouraging, especially during challenging moments.
  • A Proactive Approach: A "can-do" attitude and the ability to take initiative and find creative solutions.
  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents, and to work well with a friendly team.
  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly in a school setting or with SEN, is highly desirable.
