- Dealing with enquiries from customers face to face and via telephone, email and online.
- Ensuring that incidents are logged and recorded and then dealt with in a timely manner.
- Deliver quality customer service at all times.
- Work on and resolve incidents and requests raised for schools.
- Onsite and remote support.
- Build and deploy end-user devices to students and staff.
- Installing applications onto user devices.
- Addressing requests for assistance with printers and other equipment.
- Undertaking essential administrative tasks such as asset management and technical documentation.
- Technical support of dedicated MIS software used in schools.
- Daily monitoring of Backup progress and resolution of associated problems.
- Help and guide with cyber security in line with Department for Education standards and guidelines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products, Windows 10 and 11 (and Server operating systems).
- Microsoft SQL 2008-2016 Server (desirable, not essential).
- SIMS and FMS school MIS software (desirable, not essential).
- Remote access technologies.
- Knowledge of mixed Apple, Google and Microsoft infrastructure.
- Good communication skills - verbal & written.
- A proven track record of delivering work to deadlines.
- Hardware and software support - PCs, printers, projectors.
- Networking fundamentals.
- Microsoft 365.
- Backup solutions such as Redstor, Veeam and Backup Exec.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to accurately analyse and assess problems.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage own time effectively.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Some experience of ICT in education (desirable, not essential).
- Some experience of working in a customer service environment.
- Supporting clients face to face and remotely with IT usage.
- Knowledge of desktop and portable IT equipment, software and hardware.
- Understanding of multi-functional printers, and their integration into an operational environment.
- Ability to build and test user devices in a range of operating system environments.
- Some knowledge of Apple equipment and their use in a networked environment.
- Self-motivated and keen to learn new skills and technologies.
- Good time management and planning skills.
- Keen interest in ICT and delivering high quality services.
- Effective team player.
- Willing to take responsibility to resolve issues.
- Excellent attendance record in previous employment.
- Full, Clean driving license and own car.
- An Enhanced DBS check will be obligatory.
