The College has three sites, one located in the historic centre of Cambridge (Central Site), one on Thompsons Lane and Wychfield Site, located on Storey's Way.Following the announcement of retirement from a long-serving team member, we are seeking a replacement for our Housekeeper at Central Site.This is a full-time and permanent position with a starting date around 15 October 2025.The Housekeeper at Central Site manages the accommodation by maintaining a safe and pleasant environment and ensuring that accommodation and furnishings are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and in good repair throughout the year.Working hours on weekdays (only) are from 07:30 to 15:30, including one-hour unpaid lunch break, for 7 hours per day (35 hours a week).Central Site will be your main base where only cycle parking is available, best accessible by foot or public transport (5' walk from Drummer Street).If you are an experienced Housekeeper or Supervisor in a similar type (College or Hotel) and size operations (minimum 100 bedrooms with multiple function rooms) with the ability to lead, plan, organise and deliver high cleaning standards we want to hear from you!Duties
  • To manage the work of the Housekeeping Team, ensuring that high standards of performance and conduct are maintained
  • To ensure that the accommodation is kept clean and ready for use when required.
  • To work closely with the Conference and Events Office to ensure bedrooms and Conference Rooms are readily prepared
  • To work with the Head of Housekeeping Services to provide appropriate overtime cover and extra staff as and when required
