As an MST CAN Therapist, you'll deliver targeted, home-based interventions (not in a clinical setting) tailored to each family's unique needs. This includes multiple weekly sessions, flexible scheduling, and 24/7 on-call support during active treatment phases.Your work will help:
- Keep children safely at home
- Prevent abuse and neglect
- Reduce mental health difficulties for both children and adults
- Build stronger, more resilient family and community support networks
You'll need:
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g. social work, mental health nursing, clinical psychology)
- Solid experience in family-based interventions with young people
- Practical knowledge of therapeutic models such as CBT, SFBT, systemic or behavioural approaches
- A deep understanding of safeguarding and risk management
- Experience of managing complex cases and driving positive outcomes
- Full MST CAN model training and CPD
- Weekly clinical supervision and consultation
