Your key responsibilities will include:
- Classroom Management: Supervising students and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Lesson Delivery: Managing pre-prepared lessons and resources left by the absent teacher, and ensuring students remain on task.
- Behavior Management: Implementing the school's behavior policies to maintain discipline and respect within the classroom.
- Student Support: Responding to student questions and providing guidance to keep them engaged with their work.
- Reporting: Reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff members at the end of the lesson.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students of all ages.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple lessons throughout the day.
- Confidence and authority to lead a classroom and uphold school policies.
- A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to different subjects and age groups.
- Prior experience working with young people in a school, youth club, or similar setting is highly desirable.
