Salary: £23,979 - £25,956 per annum (depending on experience)We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant and high-achieving secondary school in Watford from September 2025.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience in classroom supervision to contribute to a school that values consistency, high expectations, and student engagement. You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring a purposeful learning environment in the absence of the regular class teacher.Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering set lessons to classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement
- Supporting the wider pastoral and academic life of the school
- Providing short-term cover across subjects where needed
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the Cover Manager
- Has previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
- Is calm, flexible, and confident in working with young people
- Understands safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
- Can positively contribute to the wider school ethos and culture
