Start Date: September 2025We are seeking a confident, reliable, and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our thriving secondary school community in Watford from September 2025.This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role within our school, providing high-quality classroom supervision in the absence of teaching staff and ensuring continuity of learning for our students.As an experienced Cover Supervisor, you will already have a strong understanding of managing classroom behaviour and engaging students in purposeful learning. You will be well-organised, calm under pressure, and capable of building positive relationships with both students and staff.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students stay on task
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and conduct
- Support the wider school through duties and pastoral responsibilities
- Has previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school setting
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
- Is flexible, professional, and a team player
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Is passionate about supporting young people and their learning
