Educato are working on behalf of a primary school in the St Helens area who are looking recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in Early Years Teaching Assistant. The school require the incoming SEN Teaching Assistant to work with the pupil for the full academic year. This is initially a supply post but there are opportunities to earn a school contract. The incoming SEN Teaching assistant will be expected to be ready to work in September 2025 on a full time basisThe Role:As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a key player in delivering high-quality support to a child in Early Years in a primary school in Oldham. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to:
  • Support pupils with SEN
  • Experience within a Primary or SEN school
  • Assist with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
  • Help develop communication, social, and emotional skills
  • Contribute to detailed observations, assessments, and progress tracking
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
What We're Looking For:
  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience
  • Graduates of Psychology and Sociology are encouraged to apply
  • Sports graduates
  • Team Teach is highly desirable
  • A genuine passion for SEN and understanding of different learning needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is a bonus
