An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Administrator to join our Dietetic team to cover Maternity Leave for 12 months. This role would suit an individual looking to work school hours over three days a week.The post holder will provide vital administrative support for the dietitians and the dietetic management team, supporting a range of functions, including booking of outpatient appointments, dealing with telephone/email enquiries, producing word and excel documents and minute taking.You will assist in the smooth operation of all general office functions to ensure an efficient and good quality service to patients and Dietitians.You will be joining a friendly admin team with three individuals based at the Northern General Hospital.The Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust dietetic team consists of 82 Dietitians, 7 dietetic assistants and 8 admin staff across 3 hospital sites and Sheffield community. STH is one of the largest Trusts in the country.Main duties of the jobTo provide the admin support to the dietetic outpatient clinics.To provide a comprehensive secretarial/administrative service to the dietetic service.To assist in the day to day running of the dietetic service office.This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of a maximum of twelve months (commencing 8th October 2025) due to maternity leave of the substantive post holder.   • NVQ in Administration Level II or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience
Desirable
  • European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience
  • RSA Typing or OCR Word Processing Level II qualification or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience
ExperienceEssential
  • Relevant experience in a clinical administrative role
  • Good working knowledge of Windows based packages
  • Good knowledge of e-mail system
  • Experience of utilisation of available technology and applying it in the workplace
  • Experience of managing telephone enquiries ina supportive and professional manner
