Interim Finance DirectorBrighton/ Hybird working£120,000 + benefits, 6 month FTCGrafton Banks Finance is working with an SME business in Brighton to recruit an interim Finance Director for the next 6 months.This is a vital role within the business, providing continuity and robustness across the finance function during a period of transition in the business.The role will manage the finance team, lead the year end and audit, and lead the budget process, whilst providing continuous support to the Board.We are looking for a technically strong Finance Director (this role is focussed on delivering the accounting and reporting, rather than a commercial or strategic role) who is an expert in financial control, reporting, and audit, and who has strong team management skills. The role requires someone comfortable working in SME environments and being hands on.Key Responsibilities

Year-end: Lead and deliver the year-end process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.
Budgets: Oversee and manage the budgeting process.
Audit: Act as the key contact for external auditors and ensure audit readiness and delivery.
Reporting: The consolidation and reporting of the group financial results.
Board meetings: Attend as an invitee to present financials and provide updates.
Team management: Managing a team of 7 plus liaising with external advisors.

This role is to start ASAP, latest beginning of October. It is hybrid working with 3 days in the Brighton offices. Salary is up to £120,000 and this is a 6 month fixed term contract.
