Job Description:Role PurposeThis is an exciting opportunity for someone at the beginning of their HR career. The Junior HR Administrator will provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team across HR, Recruitment, and Training functions, while developing knowledge and skills in people management. Full training and support will be provided, making this role ideal for someone looking to build a career in HR.The RoleContracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday, based in our Midsomer Norton Head Office.The role will support the following areas:Human Resources Administration
  • Support with maintaining accurate employee records on Bridges Online (BOL) and other HR systems/databases.
  • Assist with onboarding paperwork, inductions, and employee file management.
  • Help with preparing HR letters, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Provide basic first-line support for employee queries (with guidance from HR colleagues).
  • Learn to support HR reporting and monitoring (absence, training, etc.).
Recruitment Support
  • Assist in drafting and posting job adverts.
  • Support with interview coordination, scheduling, and candidate communications.
  • Help to maintain recruitment trackers and candidate records.
  • Assist in pre-employment checks, references, and offer paperwork.
  • Support the onboarding of agency workers and subcontractors by gathering documents and ensuring compliance with processes.
Training & Development
  • Help coordinate training bookings and logistics.
  • Keep training records and certification logs updated.
  • Assist with induction processes for new starters.
  • Support the administration of apprenticeships, graduate programmes, and development initiatives.

  • Enthusiastic and keen to develop a career in HR.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Friendly, approachable, and able to work as part of a team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Some office administration experience desirable, but not essential.
  • GCSEs (including English and Maths) required; A-levels or equivalent desirable.
  • Interest in working towards a CIPD qualification or other HR-related training (support will be provided).
