Temporary contract for 1 yearYou will be required to support the HR Business Partner and HR Operations Manager in a range of work streams, specifically learning and development, diversity and inclusion, well-being and HR administration. You will need to have previous experience working in a HR role and evidence of working with stakeholders at all levels. As a HR Officer, you'll work closely with the HR Business Partner in progressing several key HR objectives that support the organisation's business plan as well as the HR Operations Manager in ensuring that day-to-day admin tasks are completed.Main duties:- Act as a notetaker in supporting a range of employee relations matters, such as sickness absence, disciplinary etc.
- Work with line managers to support them in facilitating the informal process of the organisation's sickness absence policy.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Manage and maintain the HR inbox, directing queries to the appropriate HR team member and responding to queries within our service level agreement.
- Raise purchase orders and goods receipt invoices for Human Resources activities.
- Lead on the administration of the employee benefit system (EdenRed).
- Be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee data, including our HR system and personnel files.
- Manage HR data and generate reports as necessary, such as sickness and performance management data.
- Support the recruitment and on-boarding of new employees.
- Facilitate the leavers process of exiting employees
- Ensure all HR documentation is updated to reflect current VCA policy and retained in accordance with GDPR.
- Provide secretariat support to the HR team and stakeholders when required.
- Be responsible for processing and reconciling payroll claim forms.
- Contribute to the HR teams internal communications via the intranet hub and monthly team brief.
- Assist the HR team in planning and execution of HR projects and initiatives.
- Monitor and manage compliance requirements related to legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
- Undertake any other duties or activities reasonably requested to meet departmental or business objectives.
- Worked within a fast-paced office environment, supporting a range of work streams
- Excellent customer service, confident to operate at all levels and be able to escalate to senior colleagues, where appropriate
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective time management, with experience of working to tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Computer literate in Microsoft suite applications, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Desirable - a knowledge on HR policies and procedures and worked within a HR environment
