
Workflow Administrator/GP Assistant

- Scan and read letters received into the surgery either by post, internal or electronically. Action all letters within a workflow package, sending to the appropriate person/team - full training is provided.
- Accurately code diagnoses, procedures, and investigations into patient records.
- Identify urgent or complex documentation and ensure it is dealt with promptly, following established protocols.
- Liaise with GPs and other team members as necessary.
- Deal with incoming emails appropriately as per practice policy.
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate patient records.
- Contribute to efficient record-keeping and patient care.
- Work to agreed targets and deadlines.
- Record and administration of all GPR and insurance reports, Subject Access Requests and any other forms/letters required from GPs.
- Receive and dispatch mail.
- Any other duties which may be required, appropriate to the role.

- An experienced administrator, with excellent IT, time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, working in a confidential and discreet manner.
- Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently.
- Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
- Primary care experience is desirable but not essential.
- An experienced administrator, with excellent IT, time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, working in a confidential and discreet manner.
