We're looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Domestic Abuse Support Workers, providing vital emotional support and practical assistance to women in the West of Glasgow.This unique role involves daily travel via ferry (Paid by Randstad), so you'll need to be a confident driver with your own vehicle till the port. You'll be the key to helping women on their journey to healing and independence, and your ability to build trust and think creatively will be essential.The Role
You will be a professional go-getter who is passionate about empowering survivors of domestic abuse. Your duties will include:
  • Providing one-to-one emotional support to women in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
  • Thinking outside the box to help women build confidence and open up about their experiences.
  • Assisting with practical needs and signposting to other essential services.
  • Acting as a positive role model and a consistent source of encouragement.
  • Handling challenging situations with professionalism, empathy, and resilience.
What We're Looking For
  • A professional and driven individual with a deep understanding of the complexities of domestic abuse.
  • A "go-getter" who is proactive and takes initiative.
  • An outside-the-box thinker who can adapt their approach to meet the unique needs of each woman.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills you must be able to build rapport and trust quickly.
  • A full, clean UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
  • A compassionate and non-judgemental nature.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday.
