- Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring students are completing the work set by the absent Teacher.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, following the school's behavior policy to maintain a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
- Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
- Provide assistance and support to students as they work through their tasks, answering general questions and maintaining a focused environment.
- Collect completed work and other materials at the end of the lesson and return them to the appropriate person or department.
- Report any issues or incidents to senior staff members promptly and accurately.
- Classroom Presence: The ability to command a room, gain the respect of students, and maintain control in a variety of situations.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: A willingness to work in different subject areas and with various age groups on short notice.
- Strong Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills to give clear instructions and engage with students and staff.
