An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, personable, dynamic and self-motivated individual, to join the Patient Access Team as a Booking Co-ordinator.Main duties of the job
  • As a member of the Patient Access team, the Booking Co-ordinator role is pivotal in ensuring we achieve several government targets around patient waiting times.
  • Your duties will involve making and rescheduling patient appointments using the electronic patient record platform whilst applying knowledge of targets and specialty specific requirements.
  • You will also be dealing with queries from internally and externally, providing an efficient and effective administration service.

  • Aware of Confidentiality code of practice in relation to patients and staff.
Education, Qualifications & TrainingEssential
  • Good Basic Education
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Desirable
  • Customer Care Course or equivalent
ExperienceEssential
  • Customer service experience

  • Previous NHS or healthcare experience
Special CircumstancesEssential
  • Booking coordinators are required to work using VDU and keyboards and also deal with patients/other contacts face to face and on the telephone.
  • The Outpatients areas may operate between the hours of 8.30am and 8.00pm Monday to Friday and post holders may be expected to work on an internal rota and be flexible to cover absences.
