Senior Mechanical Design EngineerContract | Hampshire | Outside IR35 | 6 MonthsA fantastic contract opportunity has become available for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a respected engineering consultancy with a strong track record in delivering high-quality MEP design solutions. This role is for a 6-month contract, based in Hampshire, and falls outside IR35.With a number of new projects underway, the consultancy is seeking a seasoned engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of a large-scale residential development.Position Overview:Create comprehensive mechanical design solutions based on client requirementsCarry out mechanical services calculations for building systemsSupport the production of technical specifications and equipment schedulesConduct feasibility assessments and technical reviewsOffer technical input and guidance throughout project phasesDraft technical documentation and project reportsKey Requirements:Demonstrable experience in mechanical services and HVAC designSolid understanding of UK building regulations and industry standardsBackground in residential or multi-unit housing projectsSkilled in site assessments, load calculations, and ventilation or steam systemsProficient with design software, particularly HevacompStrong organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectivelyClear communicator with experience in writing reports and presenting findingsSelf-starter who thrives in both team and independent environmentsSupervisory or team-leading experience is a plusContract Summary:Location: Hampshire (hybrid or remote work may be considered)Length: 6 monthsIR35 Status: Outside IR35Start: Immediate or as soon as available
