This is a fantastic opportunity to guide a class through their final year of primary education, supporting pupils to develop in confidence and ability as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.About the Role:
- Deliver dynamic, high-quality lessons tailored to Key Stage 2, with a particular emphasis on Year 6.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture where all pupils feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed.
- Plan and adapt lessons to effectively meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, using data to inform instruction and provide constructive, timely feedback.
- Prepare pupils thoroughly for end-of-Key-Stage assessments (SATs), supporting them to reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessment, and curriculum development to ensure consistency and high standards.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and carers to promote each child’s academic and personal development.
- Actively contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values, vision, and ethos.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Recent, relevant experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally with a focus on Year 6.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and experience in preparing pupils for SATs.
- Demonstrates a flexible, proactive, and reflective approach to teaching and learning.
- Excellent behaviour management and organisational skills, ensuring a productive classroom environment.
- Skilled at building positive, supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
